• Phytosterol are natural components of many vegetables and grains and it has been widely used in medicine, cosmetics, food, feed, paper manufacturing, printing, and textile industries.

• Preliminary scientific evidence suggests that plant phytosterols may help to maintain normal cholesterol levels when consumed. As part of a low cholesterol dietary program it can prevent cholesterol absorption, promote cholesterol metabolism, reduce cholesterol biosynthesis, and is used in the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis, canker, skin cancer, and cervical cancer. It also facilitates wound healing, and increases microcirculation. In addition, phytosterol is an important precursor in Vitamin D3 and steroid drug.

• Phytosterol has high skin permeability, and may be used as a skin moisturizer. It promotes skin rejuvenation and prevents skin damage caused by exposure to sunlight. In addition, it promotes hair growth an d health. Skin lotions containing phytosterol As water/oil ( W/O ) emulsion have a pleasant, non-oily feel and are resistant to degradation.

• Phytosterol is also known as a class of anti-oxidant, and it is widely used as food and feed additives, and does not contain any chemical contaminants.
